What organization(s) do you volunteer or work for?
SAMHSA, NAMI, AFSP, PAUSE, and Comfort Zone Camp.
What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?
As someone who has suffered ACES and PCES, and still am , 38 years and counting of continuous loss, pain, suffering, my 4f's of survival have crumbled and now I am just feeling lost, abject loneliness and solitude. I am Interested to see if I can start trusting people and developing connections and creating a sense of community and build resilience. I am alone. I have and can take care of others professionally and personally. Ignoring my own untreated complex trauma. My "Support system" abandoned me. I would like to Advocate for our human rights, our civil rights by bringing awareness of how ACES and PCES impact the brain and the long-term impact. Give hope to suffering by properly educating decision makers, government, therapists, all schools and programs, layman about Trauma-informed and building resilience through awareness and education. I would like to become a PACEs Advocate and take the CRC Accelerator Certification program; any other courses you have. Ultimately - I want to be respected, validated, mean something in this community. Make connections, friendships, be able to eventually trust and ask for help without fear of rejection or abandonment as I work on finding my strength, footing, purpose, resilience ; nonjudgmental and genuine.
I had heard about PACES and follow them on LinKedIN for many years.
If you're part of a community-based PACEs initiative, which one?
