What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?

After 20 years in the field of mental health and human services, including emergency psychiatry, I've come to learn that vulnerability to crisis, trauma, and mental illness is unequivocally linked to ACEs, yet we rarely talk about it in the community, psychiatric treatment plans don't address restoration of resilience and healthy regulation in the nervous system. and current APA Professional Practice Guidelines of evidence-based treatment aren't addressing it either. A year ago, I got tired of being part and party to this problem. I became a student of Nkem Ndefo, RN, CNM and Jane Courtney, RN where I learned more about ACEs and was taught a new therapeutic modality based on resilience science, called The Resilience Toolkit. I want to learn more from others in the community who share a mission to empower people with education and tools for healing.

If you're part of a community-based PACEs initiative, which one?

not yet, but just learned about MRBN
