Researcher for author Andrew Solomon: bestselling author of "The Noonday Demon: an Atlas of Depression" and "Far From the Tree: Parents, Children and the Search for Identity." Formerly Director of Community Engagement and Education and Producer/Host of the mental health speaker series: "The Brainstorm Experience" at The Avielle Foundation in Newtown, CT. The Avielle Foundation- created in honor of Avielle Richman, a first grader killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting, works to prevent violence and to build compassion through neuroscience research, community engagement and education. Also, creator of, Trauma Informed Parent which works to bring resources and information to parents and caregivers of children and young adults who have experienced trauma.

What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?
I first heard of ACE's from working in community recovery after The Sandy Hook Elementary School Shootings. I also have a son who suffered a severe trauma at the age of seven.
