What is it you do for a living? (Parenting, volunteering, CEO of social service organization, etc.)
Todd Garrison has a unique blend of an entrepreneurial business background combined with leadership roles in the not-for-profit world. This mix of business principals, a sales & marketing history, combined with leadership experience in a charitable organization gives him an extraordinary perspective that has resulted in success upon success in a wide spectrum of areas. Since 2003, he devoted himself to the work of helping and healing children who have experienced adversity in their young lives. From 2009 to 2018, Todd directed the launch and growth of ChildWise Institute, an initiative of nationally-recognized Intermountain. The focus of ChildWise is to Advance Awareness, Accelerate Knowledge, and Advocate for Positive Change — all centered on child well-being issues. Under Garrison's leadership ChildWise garnered national attention. The organization’s Elevate Montana ACE Study Summit is featured in the documentary film RESILIENCE by James Redford, an award-winning documentarian, writer, director, and producer. Garrison is a Certified Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study Master Trainer. Having trained thousands of people in the ACE Study research, the neuroscience of toxic stress, and resilience-building strategies, Garrison has been the catalyst of positive change in school systems, child-serving organizations, government agencies, businesses, and more. Garrison's commitment to elevate the well-being of children, youth, families, and communities is evident in his highly collaborative approach, working with like-minded individuals and organizations.
