A recent umbrella review by Van Ijzendoorn and colleagues (2020) in the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry of our capacity to reduce the harmful effect of intergenerational abuse led him to state ‘the scarcity of evidence-based means to break the circle of maltreatment is deplorable. We have taken up this challenge by evaluating the value of modular approaches to intervention to prevent the harmful effects of Maltreatment and ACEs which are exaggerated in these days of Covid 19 lock down.
