The need for programs such as this are few and far between and often don't reach the areas with the highest needs. I spoke with my friend who lives in Spain. They have a 25% unemployment rate but still have neighborhood coalitions for children. The opportunities that they provide for the kids are built into the fabric of their communities. But if you watched Raising of America, Spain and other countries are putting family needs at the front of how they do business, while America continues to leave the family out on their own. It takes a village to raise a child.  When will we get behind this as a nation.  Thank you for your example.
