Hi, Karen: Your comment brings up the necessity that all parents also receive home visits from nurses (like Nurse Family Partnership), to be educated about their own ACEs and how they can be passed on to kids if there's no intervention, as well as to have neighborhood support groups for new parents, especially, but families with troubles in particular.
Alot of the trauma that happened to me, was because I had emotionally neglegent parents and no healthy physical touch. To get the healthy touch, skin to skin contact, became insestuous sexual abuse between opposite sex family members and other family friends.
I dont think a family leave rule would have help my sibliings and me in this situation.
