Does anyone know of any research on how ACEs may affect the aging process? Or, have any information on trauma informed services for seniors? Thanks, Leslie

Hi, Leslie -- One of the last ACEs publications cited early death for people with high ACE scores. Here's a story I did about it in 2009. There's also research about toxic stress shortening telomeres, which shortens cell life.
Senior Hope in Albany, NY, has been providing trauma-informed services for seniors with substance abuse. Here's a story I did in 2012 that included a description of how they were beginning to integrate ACEs then….definitely needs updating!
You may want to reach out to Heather Larkin, who Jane quotes in her story from 2012. She attended the ISF conference in 2013 and is an acesconnection member.
