We are beginning a new fully integrated health care clinic in Philadelphia and will be targeting older adults, in particular those who are Medicaid/Medicare dual eligible. Has anyone found a way to utilize the ACEs research in a way that is beneficial to this population? We really would love to utilize this body of knowledge to better serve our clinic members but want to do so in a way that is beneficial to them and not traumatizing. Thanks a ton for your feedback and thoughts!

And please post an update on the story if you get in touch with someone there!
Many thanks.
Aniela, while these resources are not specific to dual eligibles, there could be some useful nuggets (there is a webinar on Monday, June 22, link included below):

I don't have any research, but in my clinical practice, I find that trauma informed EMDR Therapy is helpful to ACE survivors of all ages. We work with childhood trauma issues, and attitudes toward oneself and health, pain reduction, trauma associated with surgery, ER treatment, etc.
It would be really useful if there was continuity from a high ACEs score to a programme that was designed specifically to build appropriate resilience and counter measures for adults for those ACEs. I'm not talking PTS healing in general, I'm looking for ACEs continuity.
If you come across any such work in your search, please let me know.
Good luck. Take care - peope need you. Brian
