Does anyone out there have experience presenting to prenatal care providers about ACEs? I'm looking for some suggestions on how to structure a 20-30 presentation to providers who understand trauma, but don't know the ACEs study.

I don't know if this article Jane wrote will help but I liked the approach and contacted them. Then I gave a discussion on what was done in port townsend to OB staff.
In addition to Tina's excellent suggestion, attached are some additional resources that may be helpful for providing some context on language and improving patient education interactions, as well as the link to the research on ACEs, adolescent pregnancy, long term psychosocial consequences, and fetal death: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14754944

I presented the attached ppt to the MCAH committee of the Sonoma County Department of Health Services in 2010. The powerpoint had been made available at the time by the ACEs research team.

Hugely helpful article and ppt presentation! Thank you so much! I am working on my ppt now and will share as soon as I get it done.
I attached the wrong file! Please disregard the previous - there are quotes from ACES articles without citing, which is why it's under development. Here's the poster for the lobby.

Julie - Sorry it took me a few days to find your email notification. I'm still learning how to navigate ACEs connect! I'd love to talk with you about your work with residents. I am modifying Jane's slide deck to tailor it to prenatal care staff locally. I'm throwing in some local data. I'd love to hear about what pearls you think should be embedded to help make this provider specific!
