Can you think of a story or a fairy tale that helped you as a child?

Has anyone used this kind of therapy with school children?
I wouldn't say it was something that happened as a younger child, but I figured out how to process the things that happened to me through stories and text-based roleplaying with a bunch of other similarly-aged, similarly-experienced people, from something like the age of sixteen on.
Eventually I learned about tabletop RPGs, which have rules that structure the roleplaying experience; so my current project is writing one. (Although, to be clear, it's art first and trauma-informed a distant second; much of it has absolutely nothing to do with trauma and is just very detailed worldbuilding. It's also too complex to use in a formal setting - it depends on another 500+ page book of rules that was written by someone else.)
