Dear ACEs Community,
The United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) has released a Draft Recommendation Statement on Child Maltreatment: Primary Care Interventions. Opportunity for public comment expires on June 18, 2018 at 8:00 PM EST. View the full Draft at:

Here's an excerpt from the recommendation:
In 2013, the USPSTF found insufficient evidence to assess the balance of benefits and harms of primary care interventions to prevent child maltreatment. The current recommendation reaffirms this position.
Gaining the USPSTF's endorsement for standardized ACE screening as a component of history taking moves primary care providers one step closer to payer reimbursement for screening. Reimbursement will lead to wider adoption in primary care practices nationwide.
Are there any advocacy initiatives underway from within the ACEs Connection Community to encourage modification of the USPSTF's recommendation?
Thanks,
Ramona Osborne
