This would seem to jive with Vincent Felitti, M.D.'s 2003 [german version] /2004 [English version] paper: "The Origins of Addiction: Evidence from the U.S. CDC/ Kaiser-Permanente ACE [Adverse Childhood Experiences] Study. I have yet to see a refutation of this paper, but if anyone knows of any, I'd appreciate knowing.
