Thank you, Karen! I couldn't have said it better myself. I am senior manager for kidsdata.org.
Kim, kidsdata.org has a few dozen indicators specifically on ACEs for Santa Clara County. One way to gather this information is to create a custom profile for Santa Clara County in the βData by Regionβ tab. First, select Santa Clara County, then select βCreate Custom Profileβ under the county label. Select the βChild Youth and Safetyβ category then select the βChildhood Adversity and Resilienceβ topic. I created a custom profile for Santa Clara County for you using these steps.
You can find other information related to childhood adversity throughout the site. You might want to review all data that are available for Santa Clara County by using the βData by Regionβ tab.
In the fall, we expect to update indicators about alcohol and drug use among teens based on the California Health Kids Survey. We will also add numerous other indicators related to childrenβs well-being from this data source. It may be too late for your needs assessment, but you might find it useful for other purposes. We will put out notices when ready.
Feel free to reach out to me if I can assist you further!
