We are looking for age-appropriate powerpoint or documentaries for adolescents. Our goal is to educate teens about ACEs to help them to understand their own stories, the stories of their peers, their neighbors and families. Would welcome any recommendations for resources.

Hi Elaine,
Thank you for your question! Please take a look at our new Resource Center. In particular, you might be interested in the section on PACEs Documentaries and Videos, as well as Resources for Children. We also just released a new PACEs Science PPT that can be tailored that might be helpful. It can be found here.
Hope this helps!
All the Best,
Natalie
Hi Elaine,
This may not be exactly what you're looking for - I'm a high school social worker and created this to present to students. I talk and expand on each slide as I'm going through it with them. Feel free to use/edit as needed!

Hi Elaine-
You might want to look at Mind Matters: Overcoming Adversity and Building Resilience. It's a 12 session program that covers what you are seeking - educate them about ACES and build empathy for themselves and others - plus it also helps teens build skills and habits to heal from trauma. Happy to send you a free review copy.
We also worked with college students from the ArtCenter in Pasadena to translate the MM content into an interactive website for teens - Me & My Emotions. Feel free to pass it along to your young people. We can also send you free hard copy posters and pop-socket stickers to promote the site. If you would like the posters/stickers, email your mailing address to RelationshipSkills@DibbleInstitute.org.
(note: we are not commercializing this site, nor are we collecting data beyond what it takes to give teens points and badges)
@Natalie - had you thought of adding a section to the already amazing PACES Connection for resources for teens?

Dear Elaine, Check out the Calm and Connected Toolkit. They have a great collection of wellness breaks that work with adolescence to provide foundational training on Neuroscience and ACEs/Toxic stress. Also curriculum to grow the skills of adults to support youth in need. Creating Positive Childhood Experiences. The trainers also are certified to each PACEs curriculum. www.calmandconnectedtoolkit.com
Check out the Calm and Connected Toolkit www.calmandconnectedtoolkit.com. The toolkit includes 15 wellness breaks that include important dialogs on stress, toxic stress and how to heal and care for mental health related to trauma. It also builds adult skills to become trusted adults and support youth on journey back to health.
You got me interested. I was especially impressed with your approach and requirements for the quality of the presentation. I want to get a good understanding of the topic that you want to reveal to teenagers and offer you my services. I often use this resource slidepeak.com/google-slides-presentation-design to prepare my presentations for foreign partners and I know a lot about quality slides, I'm sure you would appreciate my work.
