Marianna,

The Compton, California School District federal lawsuit is about trauma-informed services for students, and trauma-informed training for teachers. I assumed that any psychiatric expert witnesses who had assessed the student plaintiffs, would be from somewhere in California. I'm not sure where Compton is, in relation to the Bay Area, or how many federal court districts there are in California [northern district, central, etc.], but I thought I remembered seeing a link to a printed [pdf] copy of the proposed settlement agreement, with the plaintiff attorneys names/phone numbers on the cover page of the pdf document. I thought the link to the pdf document may have been somewhere here on ACEsConnection. I also assumed the plaintiff attorneys would share the names of their expert witnesses with you, as it is currently a public trial, and the proposed settlement agreement is now a public document, bear the court's exception of publicly disclosing the full true names of the plaintiff students, and other reasonable privacy protections the court might grant minor [non-adult] students.

Later edited Addenda: I hadn't read your profile, before I wrote this, and did not realize you were a practicing attorney in California. Please excuse my [former OEO Legal Services VISTA paralegal/investigator] assumptions and explanations, .... as I had assumed you were a child welfare case worker..... Please accept my sincere apology.

P.S.S. Bessel van der Kolk works at the Justice Institute in Boston, Mass. and may have a network contact in California.
