Greetings from Southern Alberta! For those of you who are farther along the journey, do you have some advice / best practices to share?
Here is what steps I have taken so far;
Researched ACES extensively.
Formed a committee within my Rotary Club called "Champions on Children"
Met with local agencies who have a similar focus to determine how we can help
Concluded that we would increase awareness about ACES and increase awareness about resources available to help and ways that any caring adult might help as well.
Concluded that our communications initiative would summarize the ACES science, suggest to adult survivors to get help and provide 3 suggestions for ways to help.
That is basically where we are so far. Any suggestions?

Our community has the highest rate of Intimate partner violence in the nation. We have a large Blackfoot nation contingent... and who carries more ACES than our First Nations peoples? We also have 20% of our youth who live in poverty.
