Hello all! In recent conversation with a pediatric health care provider I was asked if I knew of any helpful resources to hand to patients' who have been screened for ACEs and scored highly (4 or more). It would be great to have some kind of visual pamphlet that explains ACEs/Toxic stress and the importance of wellness habits and buffering relationships. Something that was translated into Spanish would also be fantastic. Thanks!

And here's a link to the handouts that explain ACEs and toxic stress, in English, Spanish and Dari: https://www.pacesconnection.com...ces-english-and-dari
Dear Luke:
- ACEs-Related One Pagers has a bunch of different ACEs-related flyers to share.
- Parenting to Prevent & Heal ACEs Handout and Understanding ACEs Handout are both available in English and Spanish.
- Our Resource Ctr. has tons of presentations and general info.
- I like these for people who like to learn via video: Talking ACEs & Trauma: Videos
- Finally, this is a great resource for families and individuals. While the hotlines are geared towards people in CA the general content is great. It's about coping with stress during the pandemic. It's in English and Spanish and is ADA compliant as well!
- This isn't a flyer but it has some really great advice for parents from @Claudia Gold and discussed the impact that a provider listening can have.
- Also, @Louise Godbold of Echo can tell you about great online classes that are available for parents that help share about ACEs.
- And, as @Carey Sipp mentioned, the Parenting with ACEs community is open as well.
- Finally, we had a Parenting with ACEs chat series a while back and some of what parents discussed can be find below.
I hope this is helpful. Please share widely and/or keep asking questions! I'm sure others will respond as well!
Cissy
Thanks all! I really appreciate it.
Hi Luke! Thanks Cissy for the shout-out. If you are interested in ACEs and parenting, we have an online 10-part trauma-informed, nonviolent parenting course at www.echotraining.org as well as many free resources. The parenting course is in Spanish as well as English.
