Do you have recommendations of experts in the field of trauma who can provide training to individuals who supervise those who work in direct care, specifically case managers. Thanks!

The Center for Trauma Resilient Communities
Trust Based Relational Intervention - through Texas Christian University
Good Morning Colleen. My team has worked extensively providing trauma informed training with care managers across upstate NY as well as working with supervisors. I would be happy to connect with you. Here is a link to our website:

As an educator, adoptive parent, and former licensed therapeutic foster parent, my training has been well-received by communities on the whole because it is easily translated between stakeholders. Please feel free to contact me to discuss various training options! Joe
I took the one-day class given by Shenandoah Chefalo. It was excellent.
Strengthening Families Framework
If there is a Nat'l Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) site near you, I would recommend them.
Hi Colleen,
I am an independent consultant. I have over 20 years of experience as a teacher, administrator, superintendent and parent (foster/adopt), trainer, coach and mentor. My dissertation research centered on ACEs and Trauma-Engaged practices. I have trained hundreds of adults on ACEs and Trauma-Informed practice. I have my PhD in Educational Leadership and Administration from Northwest Nazarene University. I am located in Boise, Idaho (if travel is a concern).
I would love to talk with you to see if this might be a good fit.
Best to you,
Kristy
After your training, you may want to use a resource like Mind Matters: Overcoming Adversity and Building Resilience to help your supervisors learn and share, in an ongoing way, practical tools with case workers that promote healing and build resilience in themselves and their clients.
To review a free 15 day online copy simply surf on over to this website: https://digital.dibbleinstitute.org/MM

I'm also attaching some sample activities.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

I am a LCSW in Texas. Do you have any recommendations for trauma informed trainings for healthcare workers? Nurses, physicians, etc..

Thing you for the recommendations, You can visit www.betraumainformed.com in Baltimore.
There are a lot of resources with this organization PESI.
Drs. Stephanie Covington and Sandra Bloom are foremost experts on this topic. We at Hazelden Publishing can help coordinate training sessions with them.
Another option is the training program that they co-authored; Moving from Trauma-informed to Trauma-responsive: A Training Program for Organizational Change. It provides program administrators and clinical directors with key resources needed to train staff and make organizational changes to become trauma-responsive. This comprehensive training program involves all staff, ensuring clients are served with a trauma-responsive approach.
This training program describes the ten-step process of becoming trauma-responsive:
- Gain knowledge of stress, adversity, and trauma
- Understand the impact of organizational stress and trauma
- Understand the concept and structure of a Guide Team
- Assess and improve clients first experience with your organization
- Assess and improve your organizationÂs physical space
- Assess and improve your organizationÂs sense of safety
- Understand the leadership qualities and skills needed to initiate trauma-responsive organizational change
- Create a shared language and tools to address trauma
- Implement evidence-based, trauma-specific curricula
- Have each staff person create a personal self-care plan
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Alice
I suggest checking out ACEs Connection's Speakers/Trainers Bureau, where you can search for trainers in your area, and the Resources Center list for trainings and list with trauma-informed resources. Hope this helps!

hi Julianne, in response to your question....At our Center ( Texas Center for Disability Studies, the University of Texas at Austin), we are in year two of a 3-year grant project funded by the Hogg Foundation of Texas, training trainers to deliver the Road to Recovery: Trauma Informed Care for Children with IDD who have Experienced Trauma. We've trained 33 people statewide thus far and will be recruiting for a new group of trainers in Sept. 2021 (in case you're interested). My email: Laura.buckner@utexas.edu.
