Before asking I did do a search for this, but couldn't find it -- if I'm re-posting info that's been posted before -- apologies if people have seen it.
Wondering if anyone has seen the BBC Horizon program "Why Did I Go Mad?" (S56e04)
or if you haven't seen it, you might be interested in doing so -- it's geo-locked to the UK, but is currently hosted on the Australian site here https://beyondmeds.com/2017/05/04/why-did-i-go-mad/
The BeyondMeds site also has stacks of stuff relevant to mental health from an other than bio-bio-bio medical model
People might be familiar with psychology Professor John Reaud's presentation about the contribution of childhood trauma / abuse to psychosis https://recoverynet.ca/2013/11...psychosis-john-read/
I just noticed the latest posting on the Tales From The Madhouse blog was about the Horizon program
http://www.talesfromthemadhous...oadcast-on-the-3517/
that blog is also great value for those interested in mental health issues
(there's beginning to be so much research supporting the links between various types of abuse / trauma and psychosis it's beginning to be "compulsory reading" for those in the field -- of course, all types of abuse, not just sexual, but physical and even emotional)
